Now we come to a time of some interesting topics: The New Yorker Instiut.
In the books, it is not written as a quite old fashioned; no electronic devices, only elve lights and a huge training room.
For the Institute in the series is fully illustrated differently. In this small post office, you will get to know more closely the Institute of Shadowhunters.

„ Did you have invaded an electronic-store ?! “
- Simon Lewis
So when I saw the first time the Institute in The Mortal Cup , I was somehow totally disappointed ? It was the total opposite of the books. As Simon said, it looked as if they had raided an electronics store. Only it was not really mine, that everywhere was art, but now I am also so resigned. It just belongs to the series.
But particularly disappointed, I was in the training room: In the books of the attic of the Institute. Powerful, up to 6 meters high roof beams are located there where the Nephilim trained their balance and the like. In the series it was contrary abgespeisst sober. The exercise room is quite small in the series and it is not imposing ceiling to see. Also, I found it initially not so much that there was so much electronics, but now I find that it could also make the story more exciting to some, since the shadow hunters a lot more options are available. But guys are honestly: In the Institute there are endless Shadowhunter. Is not illogical if the Nephilim are dying out, but the institution is full of shadow hunters? But a point that I very much regret is that missing the library. So far, she has not yet been shown, and the Show fades also my hope that they will ever be shown in the series. In the books I loved this space most at the Institute.Still, I find that they sickbay of the Institute is very well done, even if she looked completely different in my ideas. But, I believe that no architect in the world, the idea of the perfect institution applies, so it's perfect for everyone. And see you please this beautiful window! I think they remind one very fact that the Institute is actually an old church and give it the final touch. What the makers of the series is also very well done, the rooms of the residents are. Just Isabelle I find very beautiful and it fits also great to her style. From the outside I found the style of the InstituteMovie better because the buildings which they represent as an institution, in my opinion, has come quite small. Summing up the size of the rooms, they would never all fit in this building. Unless the Shadowhunters have a Warlock paid that it ensures with any magic that they have a lot of space, which is in my view totally ridiculous.
What do you like at the Institute and what you do not like? Let me know in the comments below !
